FERRODYN
Magnetism that redesigns the motor.
A clean-sheet Reinventy programme for nanocrystalline soft-magnetic composites, three-dimensional flux paths and bistable zero-hold actuation.
CONCEPT-STAGE R&D · MAGNETIC-CORE CHARACTERISATION IS THE NEXT GATE
Concept visualization · not a tested FERRODYN article · no measured performance implied
01 · The leap
From stacked laminations to shaped flux.
Conventional laminations constrain magnetic circuits to manufacturable sheets. FERRODYN explores net-shape soft-magnetic composites and nanocrystalline pathways that unlock three-dimensional flux, lower loss at high frequency and bistable actuators that maintain position with zero holding current.
02 · One magnetic family, three ambitions
Shape the flux. Remove the holding current.
FERRODYN's novelty path combines material geometry, magnetic efficiency and deterministic actuation rather than optimizing one isolated core metric.
Shape
Form three-dimensional net-shape flux paths that laminated steel cannot reproduce without assembly penalties.
Reduce
Pursue useful permeability with low core loss in the high-frequency regimes where the architecture has an advantage.
Hold
Create bistable magnetic circuits that retain position with zero continuous holding energy.
03 · Born inside Alchemi
Motor experience defines the useful field. Alchemi searches the manufacturable core.
Reinventy connects soft-magnetic materials, axial-flux machines, actuation and deterministic control. Alchemi governs composition and geometry candidates, while physical characterization decides which path survives frequency, temperature and manufacturing reality.
04 · Civil pathways first
Electric motion is the civil proving ground.
High-performance propulsion, robotics and servo systems provide measurable routes from material coupon to bounded machine-level evidence.
Electric aviation
Axial-flux architectures where power density, cooling and frequency interact.
EV traction
Compact electrical machines designed around three-dimensional magnetic circuits.
Industrial robotics
Low-loss actuators and joints where holding energy affects system efficiency.
Servo systems
Bistable and high-frequency actuation for precise industrial motion.
05 · Evidence path
The first proof is a magnetic curve, not a motor claim.
FERRODYN advances from measured permeability and loss versus frequency to net-shape cores, then to bounded motor and actuator demonstrators.
Programme definition
Frequency, flux, thermal limits and evidence boundary are declared.
Magnetic coupons
Measure permeability, saturation and core loss across the intended operating envelope.
Next gateNet-shape cores
Manufacture and validate three-dimensional motor and bistable actuator geometries.
Demonstrator
Integrate a validated core with Reinventy deterministic motor control.
Build the evidence
A partner for the first physical FERRODYN campaign.
Reinventy is interested in magnetic-material, motor, actuator, manufacturing and controls partners able to validate the architecture end to end.
