TIN MAN OSSPACE

Where distance makes local intelligence unavoidable.

Tin Man OS Space is a discovery track for sovereign, delay-tolerant cognition across spacecraft, scientific payloads, rovers and emerging orbital infrastructure.

DISCOVERY
10Strategic horizon

DOMAIN MISSION

One operating architecture.
Recomposed for space.

Space evaluates how the reproducible Tin Man OS product line, NVIDIA-accelerated edge reasoning and constitutional separation could extend into radiation-aware, delay-tolerant and qualification-intensive missions where real-time ground intervention is impossible.

STRATEGIC DISCOVERY THESIS

A product line.
Not another one-off AI integration.

As space infrastructure becomes more complex, onboard autonomy becomes an economic requirement rather than an optional feature. Space explores a hardware-aware cognitive layer that could shorten mission-response cycles and multiply payload utility—subject to an entirely separate flight-qualification and assurance path.

01

NVIDIA-accelerated edge

Jetson AGX Thor is the first target in the product roadmap. CUDA, camera and ROS 2/DDS providers enter through a versioned HAL, keeping accelerated compute powerful without making the product inseparable from one machine contract.

02

Reproducible by architecture

The Tin Man OS Foundry resolves machine, mission, domain and governance manifests into a pinned product image—with provenance, SBOM, integrity evidence and a declared resource envelope.

03

A defensible integration layer

The moat is not one model. It is the composition of hardware abstraction, cognitive runtime, domain knowledge, governed tools, observability and an external constitutional plane the intelligence cannot rewrite.

04

Designed to scale commercially

One core architecture can support edition licensing, OEM integration, domain packs, qualification programmes and lifecycle support—turning deep engineering into a repeatable platform relationship.

CAPABILITY HYPOTHESES

The intelligence changes bodies.
The governance does not.

These capabilities define the discovery envelope, not released or validated product claims.

01

Delay-tolerant reasoning

Explore bounded local decisions where round-trip command is slow.

02

Payload cognition

Evaluate multimodal instrument and mission-context integration.

03

Health interpretation

Reason over degradation, resource state and recovery options.

04

Mission memory

Preserve long-duration context and provenance onboard.

05

Ground transparency

Expose intent, evidence and intervention points to mission control.

06

Qualified boundaries

Keep flight-critical control and protection in certified external systems.

DISCOVERY BOUNDARY

Capability is powerful.
Authority remains external.

Discovery only. No flight heritage, radiation qualification, launch integration or space certification is claimed. Any future edition requires radiation-aware compute, a mission-specific hardware baseline and an independent assurance case.
