TACET
Silence in a few millimetres.
A clean-sheet Reinventy programme for locally resonant acoustic metamaterials that pursue low-frequency control in a thin, fire-safe structural panel.

01 · The leap
From mass and thickness to governed resonance.
Low-frequency sound usually demands heavy barriers or deep absorbers. TACET explores a different architecture: locally resonant cells embedded inside an inorganic structural panel, using tuned sub-wavelength behaviour to absorb or block selected bands without treating acoustics as a bulky add-on.
02 · One panel, three ambitions
Quiet engineered into the structure.
TACET's novelty path lies in replacing passive mass with a co-designed resonant architecture that can still meet structural and fire constraints.
Tune
Create local resonators whose geometry targets the low-frequency bands that conventional thin panels struggle to control.
Broaden
Combine multiple resonator families so useful response extends beyond one narrow, isolated resonance.
Carry
Integrate acoustic behaviour into an inorganic panel intended to retain structural and fire-safe function.
03 · Born inside Alchemi
Experience identifies the band worth solving. Alchemi governs the route to a real curve.
Reinventy brings decades of materials processing, structural design and industrial noise experience to the problem definition. Alchemi coordinates candidate geometries, model comparison and the traceable coupon campaign needed to turn a resonant concept into measured absorption and transmission loss.
04 · Civil pathways first
Low-frequency noise is already an industrial cost.
The first public route leads through open civil environments where weight, space, fire safety and acoustic comfort are measurable economic constraints.
Architectural acoustics
Thin wall, floor and enclosure systems designed around difficult low-frequency bands.
EV & rail cabins
Lightweight acoustic architectures for mobility environments where mass and package volume matter.
HVAC & machinery
Compact barriers and absorbers for industrial equipment and building services.
Data-centre acoustics
Targeted low-frequency control around dense cooling and power infrastructure.
05 · Evidence path
Silence begins with a measured curve.
TACET only advances when absorption, transmission loss, bandwidth, fire behaviour and mechanical function are measured under declared methods.
Programme definition
Target bands, thickness, trade-offs and public evidence boundary are declared.
Resonator coupons
Measure absorption and transmission loss in an impedance-tube campaign on traceable cells.
Next gateMultiband panel
Integrate several resonators in an inorganic panel and test acoustic, fire and mechanical response.
Demonstrator
Transfer validated behaviour to a bounded architectural or industrial enclosure.
Build the evidence
A partner for the first physical TACET campaign.
Reinventy is interested in acoustic laboratories, panel manufacturers and civil infrastructure partners able to turn tuned architectures into independently reviewable evidence.
